Coming Up Soon – Hanterhir at “Signs & Wonders”

Signs and Wonders is a Festival of Lights event organised by The Day-Light Group. The events take place in four locations with involvement from four communities. The aim being to “shine a light on creativity, community & heritage”. The “Spirit of Light” will dance to the rhythm of the drum, leading participants on a magical adventure into illuminated landscapes. You are invited to wrap up warm, put on your walking boots and come and experience these stunning and iconic loactions  – other events have and will take place in Redruth (25/11/17), Gwennap Pit (27/1/18) and St Day (24/3/18).

“…join us on a magical journey through a stunning illuminated landscape. Led by our illuminated drummer and dancer the ‘Spirit of Light’ you will discover a floating light installation on the lake, projections, lanterns and performances from the Day-Light Choir.”

At the Carn Marth event Hanterhir will be performing extracts from their Carn Marth inspired rock opera “The Saving of Caden” (some of which is written in Cornish). 3 Daft Monkeys duo Tim and Athene will also be making an appearance. The Saving of Caden and other stories will be brought to life with projections, animations, light installations, lanterns, processions. There will also be hot food and drinks.

The events start around 7.30pm but its being recommended to get there before 7pm if you can, to have time to explore and see everything. Its also advisable to wrap up warm and bring a torch.
