Album Review: The Velvet Hands

The Velvet Hands – Party’s Over

It’s impossible to feel down while listening to the Party’s Over as it exudes energy and enthusiasm and its mix has a classic sound giving you the idea of how good the songs will translate live.

If you’re into punchy indie/garage rock tracks with an essence of punk, then the Velvet Hands are for you. You can hear the spirit of other bands throughout the album, but this isn’t a band trying to sound like anyone else, they are doing it their way and here they’ve brought together a collection of songs that you’ll keep wanting to play again and again.

Current stand out track for me must be “Habit” and I can see this becoming a firm favorite live track prompting some frantic moshing…bring it on!
