This is a one day FREE Bank Holiday Music, Food and Drink Festival featuring some fantastic bands and artists, hand picked for their talent and their wide appeal. The festival marquee is open to all ages and so far the line up includes Lily Lyons, Lionhat, Stone Roots, Sam Richardson & The Renegades, Milo Gore and headliners The Velvet Hands. There will also be some solo and duo acoustic acts from the fabulous Truro College Music Programme throughout the afternoon.
Rain or shine this is the place to be! The performances will be held in a large marquee in Lemon Quay, which will be dressed and decorated with drapes, festoon lighting and coconut matting to make a nice cosy and informal space. Food will be available from Craftworks Street Kitchen, PUNK THAI & Big Pan Parties, and there will also be a gin shop provided by Elemental Cornish Gin and a large bar (St Austell Brewery).

Buddy Holly inspired Rock-n-Roll from 3 very talented 15 & 16yr olds from Newquay
2.45pm Lily Lyons
Lily is a soulful 20-year-old singer-songwriter from South West London who has been quietly making her not so quiet way around the UK gigging scene for the past year.
3.30pm Samuel Jorge Howard
Sam is a seasoned performer and is well known on the local scene as a member of (disbanded but much missed) Hold The Sun and Killer Car Junkies and now for the waves being made by new band Little Clone Humans. Sam is also a wonderful solo singer, songwriter and guitarist, with an uplifting set of music of all genres and style.
4.15pm Ben Thorpe
25 year old Ben is a singer songwriter, drummer turned guitarist and songsmith. He writes honest and powerful acoustic indie music with a raw and personal edge. His songs often take on universal themes that paint pictures of life in the sweeping fields and sandy edges of his Cornwall home.
5.00pm Lionhat Collective
Lionhat are a lively roots reggae band inspired by the classic 70’s Jamaican scene. Perfect for a warm, sunny evening the Collective is a reggae rhythm section, backing singers, players and mc’s creating foot tapping, body swaying music with love!
6.15pm Stone Roots
Funk-pop band Stone Roots combine soulful vocals with tight-knit funk grooves, creating an infectious, energetic sound that’s guaranteed to get you moving.
7.30pm Milo Gore
are a charming 5 piece who wonderfully harmonise smooth flowing indie-pop, with rich powerful rock riffs, all the while expressing raw energy and talent on stage.
8.15pm Sam Richardson & The Renegades
Sam Richardson hails from the rugged north coast of Cornwall. Sam’s Roots-Rock and Heartland-Rock inspired songs (Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and John Mayer) are reminiscent of the days when imagery and stories played a key role in the songwriting process.
9.00pm The Velvet Hands
Headliners The Velvet Hands are much loved in Cornwall and have wowed festival goers at Boardmasters, Port Eliot Festival and Leopallooza, among others. Now based in London these youthful Cornish rockers have already been compared to The Stones, Jonny Thunders and The Strokes! They have been BBC Introducing’s national Record of the week and Huw Stephens has them on his Radio 1, Best of BBC Introducing playlist.
9.30pm DJ Stan
The Dukebox Duke will be providing a dancetastic finish to the evening and get the tent bouncing.
The Live Lounge event is organised by Old Bakery Studios, supported by Cornwall Council, Truro Placeshaping Project, Truro Marquees and guarded by Coast to Coast Security.
